Last year we kickstarted our plan to have 10 trees planted for every F Bass crafted as well as 1 tree for every accessory sold. ⁣⁣⁣

In our first year supporting @onetreeplanted, we’ve given back 2409 trees to regions we notably source lumber from—with 602x going towards planting efforts in each of Ontario, British Colombia, & California, and another 603x where ‘One Tree’ deems they’re needed most in the world at this time. This current reforestation initiative is to restore the landscape in British Columbia which endured a fire that destroyed 570,000 acres in 2017 and natural regeneration had not occurred. Meet the new standard control layout for the AC-Classic!⁣⁣⁣

We’re moving away from the old 7-control system to a simplified 4-control set up with volume & tone for each pickup. Let’s dive in…⁣
⁣
We’ve replaced the Fishman op-amp based piezo tone control with a proprietary F Bass piezo control made with discrete components. This produces a slightly more pure/uncoloured signal to attain even more of that woody timbre and acoustic nature of an upright bass. ⁣
⁣
We know many players found the 7 controls a little too daunting. So to make tone shaping more user friendly, we’ve also dropped the F Bass 3-band preamp from the standard iteration (it is still an option though). ⁣
⁣
With fewer knobs to wrangle we had the freedom to play with the control layout. They now match the contour of the body and complement the adjacent sound hole for a more harmonious aesthetic. ⁣
⁣
This first updated AC-Classic is made for Toronto bassist @mikeferfolia—thanks for taking that leap of faith with us Mike!⁣
