Olivia Thompson is a professional bassist and musician based in the UK. Growing up in East Yorkshire, She began her musical journey at age 6 playing the flute in youth Orchestras and ensembles, but later discovered the electric bass at age 15 after being immersed in Soul, Motown and Rock music at home. She quickly realized that she had a strong passion for the bass guitar and began gigging regularly as a teenager in function bands and original projects.
She later went on to study popular music at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester, and during this time of study began touring and performing professionally in the UK pop scene with artists including Little Mix, Zara Larsson and Becky Hill. After graduating in 2020, Olivia continued to tour internationally with artists including Cat Burns and Raye, and has performed on platforms such as NPR Tiny Desk, Jimmy Kimmell, Saturday Night Live, and countless main stage festival slots around the world.
